It’s the first time the Grand Final has been played outside of Sydney as the NSW capital remains in lockdown, and it’s set to be played at what many regard as the best rectangular stadium in Australia – Suncorp Stadium.

The 52,500-capacity stadium will now have a capped crowd of 75% due to recent Covid cases in Brisbane, with some 13,000 fans who previously had tickets to the sold-out event told they cannot attend and given a refund. If you’re not lucky enough to be going to the game, then here’s all the information you need to know to watch the match live, on every device and from every location!

How to watch the Grand Final on TV

The 2021 NRL Grand Final will be shown live and exclusive on Channel 9 in Australia. Coverage of the entertainment begins at 6:30pm (Sydney/AEDT) which is one hour before the match starts, but there will be all-day coverage from 11am – see below for the full TV guide. You can tune in to 9HD for high-definition coverage on channel 90 or channel 9/91 for standard-definition through your TV antenna. If you’re watching through Foxtel, tune in to channel 100 for standard definition or 209 for high definition – although your antenna must be plugged into your set-top-box if you’re on satellite.

Can I watch the NRL Grand Final on 9Now?

You can stream the Grand Final live on the 9Now App, on all devices – including TV’s, mobile phones, tablets, and computers. This is unlike the AFL where the Grand Final was restricted to compatible TV’s only. If you don’t have the native 9Now App on your TV, then you can Cast or AirPlay it from the mobile App to your TV if you have the capability to do this. 9Now will also offer four additional camera angles to watch through the app, including Spider Cam, Panthers Player Cam, Rabbitohs Player Cam, and Coach Cam.

Is the NRL Grand Final on Foxtel?

No, the Grand Final will not be shown live on Fox League due to the Pay TV provider not having the rights to broadcast the game direct. You will need to tune in to Channel 9 to watch the match (see above for details). Fox League will show a replay of the Grand Final after the match concludes, with the delayed coverage commencing on channel 502 at 9:40pm AEDT.

Is the Grand Final on Kayo?

While Kayo Sports live streamed every game of the 2021 premiership season and finals series, unfortunately the Foxtel-owned platform does not have broadcast rights to live stream the NRL Grand Final, meaning you cannot live stream it on the popular service. You will however be able to watch the game on-demand from when Fox League broadcasts the game, at 9:40pm, on all devices including mobile phones and tablets.
